Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Tonya McKinzey and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor. I received my education and training and The University of North Texas. I have over 20 years of experience working with clients in areas such as alcohol/substance use, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, domestic violence, women's issues, parenting issues, and more.

My approach to therapy

I utilize strategies that fit particular client needs, these include CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Client Centered, and Solution-focused techniques. I am a strong believer in the strength of the human spirit and it’s innate resilience to overcome obstacles. I am continually humbled and honored to be able to connect with my clients and support and encourage them on their journeys. I hope to speak to you soon to begin yours!

What you can expect from me

During therapy, you will explore behaviors and circumstances that may no longer be working for you and your personal growth. We will partner together to create a treatment plan to help you achieve your goals with your specific strengths and needs in mind.
