The first session is a space for us to get to know each other and begin building a safe, supportive therapeutic relationship. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, your current concerns, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, background, and goals, and you’re always welcome to share at your own pace.
We’ll also review important information such as confidentiality, boundaries, and how therapy works, and I’ll answer any questions you may have. Together, we’ll begin identifying areas of focus and discussing next steps. You do not need to have everything figured out—this session is about creating clarity, comfort, and a foundation for meaningful work moving forward.
