Great to meet you!

A therapist passionate about helping children, teens, and young adults navigate the challenges of growing up in a complex world. My approach is warm, patient, and collaborative, I believe that building genuine trust is the foundation of meaningful change.

In my work with young people, I focus on creating a safe, supportive space where they can express themselves freely and feel understood. Whether it’s anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, family stress, or identity concerns, I meet each client where they are with empathy and respect. I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and strengths-based techniques to help clients understand their emotions, develop healthy coping skills, and build confidence in themselves.

When working with children and teens, I also value partnering with parents and caregivers, helping families strengthen communication, connection, and understanding. My goal is to empower each young person to recognize their strengths, navigate challenges, and develop the tools they need to thrive—both now and in the future.

Clients often describe me as calm, relatable, and easy to talk to. I believe therapy should feel like a supportive conversation that sparks growth, resilience, and self-discovery.

If you or your child are struggling to manage big emotions, adjust to life changes, or find a sense of direction, I’m here to help you take the next step toward healing and balance.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. I believe that healing begins with feeling safe, heard, and understood. I work to build a trusting relationship where clients can express themselves openly and explore their experiences without fear of judgment.

I draw from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize unhelpful thought patterns and develop more balanced, empowering ways of thinking. I also integrate mindfulness, strengths-based techniques, and person-centered therapy to help clients build self-awareness, emotional regulation, and resilience.

When working with children and adolescents, I incorporate creativity, play, and developmentally appropriate tools to make therapy engaging and meaningful. For young adults, I focus on identity development, stress management, relationships, and transitions into independence.

I view therapy as a partnership, my role is to walk alongside clients as they gain insight, learn practical coping skills, and discover their capacity for growth and healing. My ultimate goal is to help each client feel more confident, capable, and connected to themselves and others.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my goal is to create a comfortable, welcoming space where you or your child can feel safe to be yourselves. I understand that starting therapy can feel a little uncertain or even intimidating, so we move at a pace that feels right for you.

We’ll begin by getting to know each other talking about what brings you to therapy, what you hope to gain, and any questions or concerns you may have. For younger clients, I often use creative and age-appropriate activities to help them open up naturally. For teens and young adults, our first session focuses on building trust and understanding what feels most important to them right now.

I’ll also share a bit about how therapy works, what you can expect from me, and how we can collaborate to meet your goals. This is a two-way process, so I encourage you to ask questions and share what helps you feel most supported.

By the end of the session, we’ll begin identifying some initial goals and discuss next steps together. My hope is that you’ll leave feeling heard, supported, and a little more hopeful about the path ahead.
