Great to meet you!

Hello! I'm Tra Hoang, a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in evidence-based treatments for anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions and interpersonal issues. I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology and International Political Economy from Fordham University and my master’s degree in Social Work from Columbia University.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My style is warm, and highly attuned to the relationship between your thoughts, feelings, body and behaviors. I utilize techniques from insight oriented therapy (Psychodynamic), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment theories, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness.

What you can expect from our first session

Stepping into therapy can feel vulnerable and scary. I strive to create a safe space for you to be comfortable being vulnerable. You are not alone and you do not have to navigate through your pain all on your own.
