Great to meet you!

With a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Master of Arts in Counseling, and hundreds of hours of advanced trainings along the way, I can draw from the vast information studied and still meet your individual and specific needs in our therapy, using life and experience to create a plan together for growth, just for you.

You are unique in your approach to life and life's issues, and because of that, I create a treatment plan using the specific tools to assist you in finding your solution.

My approach to therapy

The gift of being a practicing therapist over the past 3 decades is acquiring the knowledge of what clients need from their therapist: actual unbiased listening and meeting you where you are.

No one appreciates being fit in to a "one-size-fits-all" approach! I see clients as a whole person, inquiring about all aspects of their lives, including health, daily life, family relationships and childhood experiences. I advocate, support and guide.... and model this, so you see in real life and real time, that you are worth it, and worthy of this attention and time. The goal is for you to adopt these behaviors for yourself.

You are unique in your approach to life and life's issues, and because of that, we create a treatment plan together .... assisting you in finding your solution.

Raising my two sons made it obvious that parenting would challenge me more than just about anything in life! Parent Education became one of my clinical specialties and I support parents and families during one of life's biggest transitions.

Other specialties and interests include supporting couples through the ebbs and flows of relationships, helping men find or regain their role in their partnerships or families, and guiding women through the uncharted emotional and biological territory of "life after 30"!

What you can expect from me

During the first few sessions my focus includes listening... but not just to the content of your story, but also to deeper patterns and beliefs which unknowingly may be keeping you stuck.

Most of the time clients have strengths that they are viewing as weaknesses, often because they were described this way by family members or teachers early on in life. We take time to question, explore and reconsider these labels and beliefs.

The goal of the first session together is for my client to feel safety, comfort and relief!
