Great to meet you!

Seeking therapy is a courageous step, and I believe that healing begins with a safe, trusting, and compassionate therapeutic relationship. My goal is to provide a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, respected, and supported as we work together toward meaningful change.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Certified Grief Informed Professional, and a doctoral scholar. I hold a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling and a Master of Arts in Human Resource Management, bringing together clinical expertise with a deep understanding of the personal, relational, and workplace challenges many people face. Throughout more than 30 years of service in behavioral health, human services, leadership, and counseling, I have had the privilege of helping individuals navigate some of life's most difficult seasons with hope, resilience, and practical strategies for growth.

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, caregiver stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, workplace stress, and adjustment to significant life changes. I have a special passion for supporting women, caregivers, helping professionals, and individuals who spend so much time caring for others that they often neglect their own emotional well being. I also work with individuals seeking greater self awareness, healthier relationships, improved coping skills, and personal growth.

Clients often describe me as warm, compassionate, thoughtful, and easy to talk with. I believe every person has unique strengths, and together we will build upon those strengths while addressing the challenges that may be keeping you from living the life you desire. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, grieving a loss, managing stress, or simply looking for support during a period of transition, you do not have to face it alone. I am committed to helping you gain clarity, build resilience, and move forward with greater confidence and hope.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, strengths based, and individualized because I recognize that every person's story is unique. I integrate evidence based practices with empathy, encouragement, and practical problem solving to help clients gain insight, build resilience, and create lasting change.

I believe healing begins when people feel safe enough to be authentic. Rather than focusing solely on problems, I work with clients to understand the experiences that have shaped them while identifying realistic goals and practical steps toward emotional wellness. Together, we explore patterns, develop healthy coping skills, strengthen relationships, establish boundaries, and build confidence in navigating life's challenges.

Above all, I strive to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel empowered, supported, and equipped to move toward healthier and more fulfilling lives.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a comfortable therapeutic relationship. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, the concerns you would like to address, your personal history, current stressors, strengths, and the goals you hope to accomplish.

My priority during the first session is to listen carefully, understand your unique experiences, and ensure that you feel heard without judgment. You do not have to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

By the end of our first session, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of how we will work together, an opportunity to ask questions, and a collaborative plan for moving forward. My hope is that you leave feeling encouraged, supported, and confident that positive change is possible.
