Great to meet you!

Hello, When entering my office you will be greeted by what clients have called "a calming environment". Soft earthy greens, tans and greys. Along with a few rocks and plants. "Yes rocks"! Clients have reported feeling comfortable while telling their stories. We often cry, laugh and even talk loudly, all the time recognizing this office is a place of healing and moving forward with life. Sometimes healing can seem to move at a turtles pace but it is ultimately worth the effort.

My approach to therapy

Because I have an unusually broad background of counseling experiences I have adopted an eclectic approach to therapy (EMDR, CBT, Humanistic approaches to name a few). I try to consider the whole person. The clients goals for the future and the clients past experiences. Then we work to heal so the client can finally focus on living today.

What you can expect from me

My environment is calm. However, there can be times during therapy I call "walking through the fire". Therapy is work! Therefore, my goal as a therapist is to consistantly keep an eye on moving toward the clients goal(s). With guidance from the therapist, I feel the client can move forward toward their goals while having the ability to cope with today.
