Tracey Ross

I am an LMHC, who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and adults around issues of grief and loss (death and non-death: divorce, estrangement, relationship changes, life transitions, adoption, chronic illness) and anxiety. I work with individuals only (no marriage or family counseling).

In an attempt to create a refuge from the cultural pressure “to move on,” I strive to offer a welcoming, nurturing, and safe space for you to grieve your loss, to find hope and connection, to discover ways to heal and to grow; and if possible, help repair ruptured relationships. My approach is client-centered, relational, and collaborative; drawing from a variety of treatment modalities, including narrative therapy, exposure therapy, and mindfulness-based strategies, art, play, and movement.

Through my many years working with bereaved children and their caregivers, I have learned that we all grieve our losses in our own way and in our own time. Sometimes a lack of understanding by those closest to us can cause confusion and feelings of aloneness. After sessions, I hope clients know that they are not alone in their grief. I also hope that with time, understanding, compassion, and support, they will be able to find ways to connect, to heal, and to grow.
