Great to meet you!

Life can be rough! No one should ever feel ashamed to admit this, nor should anyone ever feel embarrassed for seeking help. I hope you will be brave enough to talk with me and allow me to help you find your way again.

I truly believe I was born to help others. I have sustained a passion for caring for others throughout my adult life. I earned a BA in Psychology in 1994 and an MA in Mental Health Counseling in 2001, and I have been a licensed counselor since 2004. Since moving to Florida from New York in 1997, I have worked in various roles at Circles of Care and gained extensive experience treating mood disorders, addiction, trauma, and other complex mental health concerns. I have primarily treated adults, but also have more than 10 years of experience working with teens.

No matter what brings you to this profile, please know that you are worthy of help and support. My goal is to provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you feel understood and supported as we work together to address whatever life stressors you may be facing.

My approach to therapy

I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches depending on the individual and the situation. However, I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and a person-centered approach.

I believe therapy should be tailored to each person's unique experiences, strengths, and needs. Together, we will identify concerns, develop meaningful treatment goals, build practical coping skills, and create a plan that supports healing and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

I understand how intimidating a first therapy session can feel. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, respected, and safe from the very beginning, allowing you to share your story at your own pace.

Together, we will develop a treatment plan that addresses your identified needs and goals. You can expect a warm, supportive, and collaborative environment where we work toward helping you feel more confident, resilient, and empowered.
