Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Traci Bass, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master of Social Work and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). My professional background includes hospice and end-of-life care, inpatient behavioral health, outpatient therapy, and substance use treatment. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the challenges people face during difficult seasons of life.

I work with adults, particularly women navigating midlife, who are experiencing anxiety, depression, career burnout, grief, or significant life transitions. I have a special interest in helping women who have spent years balancing careers, relationships, family responsibilities, and caring for others, often while putting their own emotional needs aside.

My therapeutic approach combines genuine empathy and compassionate listening with practical, solution-focused strategies. I believe therapy should be a collaborative experience where you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment, while also developing tools to help you move forward.

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, questioning your career direction, grieving a loss, or adjusting to a new chapter in life, my goal is to provide a supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, collaborative, and practical. I believe that meaningful change begins with feeling genuinely heard, understood, and accepted without judgment.

I recognize that everyone's needs are different. Sometimes therapy means having a safe space to process difficult emotions, explore experiences, and gain a deeper understanding of yourself. Other times, it means identifying challenges, developing coping strategies, setting realistic goals, and taking meaningful steps toward change.

I combine empathetic listening with a solution-focused approach, helping clients recognize their strengths, explore new perspectives, and develop practical tools for navigating life's challenges. I believe in meeting you where you are, respecting your individual experiences, and working together at a pace that feels comfortable and productive.

My goal is not to tell you how to live your life, but to help you build the confidence, clarity, and emotional resilience to make decisions that align with your values and personal goals.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a comfortable, trusting therapeutic relationship. I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you're unsure where to begin or how to put your feelings into words.

We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, the challenges you're experiencing, and what you hope to gain from our time together. I'll ask questions about your background, current circumstances, and emotional well-being to better understand your needs. We'll also review confidentiality, discuss how therapy works, and make sure you have an opportunity to ask questions.

You don't need to have all the answers or know exactly what you want to work on. We'll begin identifying your goals together and discuss how I can best support you.

Above all, I want you to leave your first session feeling heard, respected, and comfortable taking the next step. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we'll move forward at a pace that works for you.
