Great to meet you!

Bring your whole story — I've spent my career meeting people in some of the hardest moments life offers, from crisis evaluations in the emergency room to over a decade running my own private practice. I work with adults and adolescents navigating major depression, postpartum depression, anxiety, trauma, OCD, eating disorders, and grief and loss. I'm also drawn to work on women's issues, marital issues and divorce, and end-of-life concerns. I built my clinical foundation as a family specialist case manager helping develop an Assertive Community Treatment program for individuals with serious mental illness, and later worked with the forensic population at Clinton and Great Meadow Correctional Facilities — experience that shaped a grounded, non-judgmental style rooted in real understanding of hard circumstances. Now the founder of Adirondack Counseling, I'm committed to helping individuals and couples empower themselves to reach their own treatment goals.

My approach to therapy

Expect a practical, compassionate partnership. I draw on cognitive behavioral therapy, rational emotive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and trauma-based therapy, and I weave in self-compassion and mindfulness practices to support recovery that lasts. I meet you where you are, then help you build the skills to move forward on your own terms.

What you can expect from me

Come ready to talk openly about what's brought you to therapy. I'll ask questions to understand your history, your goals, and what's been getting in the way, then start mapping out a treatment approach tailored to you, drawing on the specific therapy models best suited to your situation.
