Great to meet you!

I'm Tracy — a licensed clinical social worker, anthropologist, and historian who's been doing this work for 17 years. I work with people who are carrying a lot: therapists and caregivers who give everything to others, people navigating trauma, racial and gender identity, perimenopause, chronic pain, and the particular exhaustion of living at multiple intersections at once. I have lived experience in several of the areas I work in — which means I'm not just theoretically informed, I know something about what it actually costs to do this work on yourself.

I especially love working with writers, academics, other therapists, and people who think deeply about their lives but still feel stuck. You don't have to translate yourself for me. I'm already listening.

My approach to therapy

My work is depth-oriented — which means we're not just putting out fires, we're looking at what keeps lighting them. I'm trained in somatic and attachment-focused therapy, narrative therapy, CBT, and Schema Therapy, and I draw heavily on liberation psychology and feminist theory. That means I care about your context: the systems you're navigating, the history you're carrying in your body, and what kind of life you actually want to build.

I'm also shaped by the natural world as a real source of insight and healing — not as decoration, but as practice. Sessions are depth-driven, collaborative, and direct. I'll bring curiosity, my full training, and genuine care.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is about orientation — yours and mine. I'll ask you what brought you here, what you've already tried, and what you're actually hoping for (not just "to feel better," but specifically). I'm not going to hand you a worksheet or run through a checklist. I want to understand how you think, what matters to you, and where you feel stuck.

By the end of that first hour, you should feel like someone actually heard you — and have a clearer sense of whether this work together is the right fit. I offer a free 15-minute consultation before we begin, so you can get a feel for me before committing to anything. No pressure either way.
