Great to meet you!
I graduated from Columbia College with a Bachelor's in Psychology/Sociology. I then graduated from Mizzou with Master's in social work and now am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have worked in mental health for the past 10 years. I strive to help people who struggle with trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and loss as well as first responders to name a few.
I am a certified Emergency Responder and Public Safety Clinician, which gives me a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by those who serve on the front lines. Much of my work focuses on first responders and individuals experiencing PTSD or PTSI, as well as depression, anxiety, substance use concerns, and grief and loss.
I was an EMT for 15 years. Working with first responders is especially meaningful to me. These individuals are often the ones others depend on during moments of crisis, yet they are frequently expected to carry their own experiences silently. Exposure to trauma, high-stress environments, and cumulative loss can take a profound toll over time. In therapy, I strive to create a space where they do not have to be strong, guarded, or “on” anymore—a space where they can simply be human. I approach this work with respect for their service and an awareness of the culture, values, and pressures that shape their experiences.
