Tracy Goergen is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a background in women's issues and family systems. Tracy earned her MA in Marriage and Family therapy at Alliant University San Diego and her BA in Psychology at California State University Northridge. Tracy previously worked as a school therapist with children ages 6-13, along with their families, and has experience working with different cultures, demographics, and the LGBTQIA+ community.

Tracy is also passionate about working with individuals who have experienced domestic violence, childhood and/or sexual trauma, and PTSD related to other traumatic events. In addition to trauma work, Tracy is very experienced in working with eating disorders, phase of life for female identifying clients of all ages, as well as grief and loss. Couple Therapy is also offered and includes, but not limited to, infidelity, parenting, pre-marital counseling, and communication issues. Due to a background of 30 years in the Equestrian world, Tracy is also well versed in coaching athletes to success.

My approach to therapy

Tracy takes a collaborative approach to therapy and wants you to be as involved in the process as she is.

Through therapeutic models like Internal Family Systems (IFS), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Tracy will help find what works for you and your therapeutic journey.

What you can expect from me

The first session is all about making you comfortable and building rapport. I want to get to know you and provide you with time to get to know me as a therapist. I don't sit with a notepad or computer screen in front of me to block the energy. We will talk about your goals for therapy and you can ask any questions you might have of me.
