Great to meet you!

Hello and welcome! I have worked in private practice and school settings for over 20 years. I apply cognitive-behavioral therapy (focused on the links between events, thoughts, feelings, and actions) and social-emotional skill building to support individual adults, teens, and tweens through symptoms of anxiety and depression, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship challenges, stress management, self-doubt, inflexibility, and somatic concerns.

My approach to therapy

I believe that counseling is a learning process. From the foundation of a strong client/counselor partnership, we can work together to identify and build skills that can help you to navigate your internal as well as your social experiences. This may involve taking a closer look at your inner dialogue, learning to regulate your emotions more effectively, creating more purposeful and effective responses to stressors and challenges, and/or clarifying and strengthening boundaries and communication patterns in relationships.

What you can expect from me

Through a combination of support, validation, insight and skill-building, we can collaborate together to help you achieve a better understanding of yourself, your strengths and challenges, and the steps you can take to improve your social and emotional health. Sessions are tailored to suit your unique personality and goals. Some clients arrive with specific topics in mind, while others prefer a therapist-led format. Whichever way you like to work, we'll find a balance that fits for you.
