Great to meet you!

I hold a Master of Science in Family Therapy, and received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I have seen individuals, couples, and families in different community agencies, including residential and intensive outpatient settings. My experience entailed working with clients who have moderate to severe mental illnesses, martial and family conflicts, parenting difficulties, perfectionism, shame-based thinking, and process addictions such as eating disorders and gambling.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I'm an LMFT in private practice specializing in acculturation stress, eating disorders, and general mental health concerns.

My work is guided by Family Systems Theory, Family-based Treatment (FBT) and Structural Family Therapy. Other modalities and interventions I use in therapy are DBT, CBT, ERP, Sand-tray Therapy and trauma-informed practices to address critical issues interfering with daily functioning.

What you can expect from our first session

I intend to create an environment where clients can experience symptoms relief rather quickly, so I may take the lead in creating a structured approach to ensure that symptoms, underlying issues and dynamics are directly addressed. Clients' needs and feedbacks generally lead my approach and will determine the duration of our time together as well as the pacing of sessions. I’ve found that clients who are willing to be challenged and grow benefit most from our time together.
