Great to meet you!

I’m Travis Brown, DNP, PMHNP-BC, a doctorate-prepared, board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. My approach centers on a strong therapeutic relationship — a space where you feel heard, respected, and involved in every decision about your treatment. I provide thoughtful, evidence-based care for adults navigating depression, anxiety, trauma-related concerns, ADHD, substance use, LGBTQIA+ concerns, women’s issues, and other complex mental health challenges.

As a gay man, I understand firsthand what it means to navigate identity, disclosure, and belonging — and that experience shapes the affirming, nonjudgmental space I create for every patient, regardless of background. You are the expert on your own life; I’m here to partner with you in finding what works.

My approach to therapy

My background spans outpatient psychiatry, medication-assisted treatment, and interventional psychiatric care, with clinical interests in treatment-resistant depression, TMS, Spravato, and psychopharmacology. I also bring a foundation in high-acuity ICU and ER nursing, which informs my calm, careful approach to evaluating both mental-health symptoms and the medical factors that can affect well-being.

What you can expect from me

In our work together, I combine comprehensive evaluation with supportive, trauma-informed care. I aim to make treatment understandable and grounded in your autonomy, whether we’re exploring medication options, strengthening coping skills, addressing substance use, or building a plan for more persistent symptoms. My goal isn’t simply to reduce symptoms — it’s to help you feel more grounded, capable, and connected to the life you want to live.
