Great to meet you!

I believe therapy should be a space where you can be yourself without fear of judgment. My goal is to create an environment where you feel comfortable being honest about what you are experiencing, while also feeling supported and challenged to grow. I work with adolescents, adults, and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, life transitions, emotional regulation difficulties, stress, and other challenges. I take a strengths-based approach and believe that you already possess many of the tools needed for change sometimes we just have to uncover them, strengthen them, and learn how to use them differently. I strive to make therapy relatable, meaningful, and practical so that what we discuss in session can make a difference in your everyday life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy begins with building a strong therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, understood, and respected. I believe that meaningful change often starts with understanding the connection between our thoughts, emotions, experiences, behaviors, and relationships. Together, we will explore not only what is happening, but also what may be underneath it and how those patterns are affecting your life today. I use a collaborative, strengths-based approach while incorporating techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychoeducation, mindfulness, emotional regulation, and solution-focused interventions. Therapy with me is not about telling you what to do—it is about helping you better understand yourself, develop healthier tools, and feel more confident navigating life's challenges.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. You do not have to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. We will talk about what has been happening in your life, what has been difficult, what is going well, and what you would like to change or improve. I will also ask questions to better understand your experiences, strengths, relationships, and goals for therapy. Most importantly, we will begin creating a plan together for what you would like to work toward. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and with greater clarity about where we can begin.
