Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Trevor Roth, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly two decades of experience helping adults navigate relationships manage stress, anxiety, and relationship challenges. I’ve worked in a variety of settings including community mental health, hospitals, hospice, and private practice. I’m passionate about creating a supportive, respectful space where you can explore concerns, build insight, and more toward a meaningful and sustainable change at your own pace.

I have been working as a license social worker for 20 years supporting clients during their difficult times. Focusing on depression, anxiety, martial stress, PTSD, death & dying, and workplace stress and burnout. My Master’s thesis was on stress and stress management, and continues to be a focus in my work and client partnerships. In all of my roles as a therapist, I’ve acted as an advocate for my clients and built long-lasting partnerships, which resulted in their personal success.

My approach to therapy

Utilizing techniques from cognitive behavioral and humanistic therapies to address a wide spectrum of challenges, such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, and individuals needing behavior modifications. This is accomplished through options such as home-based, walk & talk, and teletherapy.

A bio-psycho-social approach, or PIE (person-in-environment), is a more holistic approach to a therapeutic session. When deconstructing a client’s issues a social worker views the person not as a diagnosis, but rather as an individual with a unique set of circumstances and traits that have brought them to a point in their lives that they have sought out counseling.

What you can expect from me

Many have a hesitation to start working with a therapist because of preconceived notions or a negative experience with a therapist. Therapy is what you want it to be. If you come to sessions open and transparent, therapy is an exercise analyzing our past and how it impacts our present. It addresses negative self-talk and reframes the drive for such thoughts. It holds us accountable to our actions that have led to unwanted outcomes, but gives us a guide to improvement.

I’ve dedicated my career to guiding people through stress, loss, relational conflict, and transitions, always honoring each person’s lived experiences and individuality. Whether you’re facing a long-standing struggle or navigating a recent life shift, therapy with me is an opportunity for clarity, growth, and empowerment.

When you work with a Social Worker as a therapist, you should expect a care plan that will address psychological, physical, and emotional needs.
