Great to meet you!

I’m Trevor Spieker, a therapist dedicated to helping individuals and couples navigate life’s challenges with clarity, compassion, and practical tools for change. My background spans mental health counseling, addiction treatment, youth services, and clinical documentation, giving me a well‐rounded understanding of how people grow, heal, and build healthier relationships.

I hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Denver and have completed Licensed Addiction Counselor coursework through Colorado Counseling. Over the years, I’ve supported clients in residential treatment, school‐based therapy, and community mental health settings. These experiences shaped my belief that therapy should be both supportive and actionable.

I specialize in addiction recovery, relationship and communication issues, stress and anxiety, life transitions, and behavioral patterns that keep people stuck. My approach blends evidence‐based practices with a grounded, real‐world perspective—helping clients feel understood while also moving toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, direct, and grounded in real‐world application. I work with clients to identify what’s actually getting in the way of change, then build practical strategies they can use outside the therapy room. I balance empathy with structure—clients feel supported, but they also feel guided.

I draw from evidence‐based practices, including cognitive‐behavioral approaches, motivational interviewing, and strengths‐based work. Because of my background in addiction treatment, youth services, and relationship-focused therapy, I pay close attention to patterns, communication styles, and the underlying beliefs that shape behavior.

Clients often tell me they appreciate that I’m easy to talk to, non‐judgmental, and straightforward. My goal is to help people understand themselves more clearly, develop healthier coping skills, and move toward meaningful, sustainable change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session with me is structured but conversational. We’ll explore your concerns, clarify your priorities, and begin mapping out what meaningful progress looks like for you. I ask thoughtful questions to understand your patterns, stressors, and strengths, and I encourage you to share openly at a pace that feels comfortable.

Together, we’ll set initial goals and discuss how we’ll track progress over time. Clients often leave the first session feeling like they have a plan, a partner in the process, and a clearer sense of what therapy will look like.
