Great to meet you!

I'm a licensed professional counselor based in Houston, Texas. My work is rooted in the belief that therapy should be a space where people feel safe to explore what’s real—without pressure to perform, fix, or rush healing. I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults navigating substance use, emotional regulation, and identity development. Many of my clients are dealing with relationship struggles, trauma, life transitions, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them.

My clinical approach draws from DBT, Radically Open DBT, mentalization-based therapy, and psychoanalytic thought. I’ve provided therapy across outpatient, residential, and intensive treatment settings, including individual and group work focused on harm reduction, emotional resilience, and recovery from co-occurring disorders. I’m particularly interested in helping clients who feel like they don’t quite fit the mold—people who’ve been told they’re too sensitive, too closed-off, or just too much.

Whether you’re looking to reduce distress, understand yourself more deeply, or reimagine what healing can look like, I offer a collaborative and nonjudgmental space to begin.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, relational, and tailored to the individual. I don’t believe in quick fixes or one-size-fits-all advice. Instead, I help clients slow down, notice patterns, and explore the "why" beneath the "what." I integrate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT), harm reduction principles, and psychoanalytic thinking—especially when working with substance use, emotional sensitivity, or chronic self-criticism. I'm active in session: I ask questions, offer reflections, and help you sit with discomfort without being overwhelmed by it. My goal is to create a space where your full complexity is welcome—messiness, contradictions, and all.

What you can expect from me

Clients often leave sessions with more clarity, language for their internal experience, and tools to handle difficult emotions without shutting down or acting out. Over time, they build emotional flexibility, more honest self-understanding, and a stronger sense of agency in their relationships and choices. You might not feel “better” right away—and that’s okay—but you’ll start to feel more real, more resourced, and less alone in the process of becoming yourself.
