Great to meet you!

Looking forward to meeting you!

I am both a Licensed Marriage, Family Therapist and Professional School Counselor with over 25 years of experience working with individuals, couples, families and groups. In this ever changing world, I have witnessed the importance of good mental health care and the challenge of finding a quality therapist that is a good fit. I am here to help overcome that challenge. I provide a valuable counseling resource that is open minded, accepting, respectful, and values honest communication to build relationships and personal identity. I have an extensive mental health and counseling background, however, have more recently focused on working with adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship/communication struggles, Autism Spectrum/ADHD and/or identity issues.

My approach to therapy

Everyone has their own unique story or reason that brings them to therapy and I promise to listen to your’s with compassion and curiosity in an accepting and supportive environment. We will work together to determine goals for counseling and develop strategies, resources, and plans to accomplish your goals. I believe everyone has the strength and ability to overcome challenges put in front of them, but sometimes we need a little help to find our way. I would love to partner, challenge and work with you down the path to get you where you want to be and reach your goals! I am excited to get to know you and help you on your personal journey of healing, self care, transformation and empowerment!

What you can expect from me

What our work together could look like...

Being vulnerable and sharing personal things is tough in the best of situations which is why I strive to create an environment that feels safe, welcoming and respectful to help clients feel comfortable opening up and sharing their story and what they want out of counseling. It’s okay if you don’t have a clue where to start or have a strategic plan and timeline you want to work on, I am here to meet you where you are at, no matter where that is. During the course of counseling, we will then work together to explore what you are dealing with, figure out what goals you want to work towards, and develop plans with realistic resources, strategies and tools to support your progress towards your goals. Just remember, no matter the issues or challenges we face today, life continues each day, positive change is possible, and the sun will always rise tomorrow! Come work with me at A New Day Counseling Services, LLC!
