Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Trinh. I have been working in the mental health field for over 20 years. I truly believe in the benefits and healing powers of talk therapy. My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe space where a client can think out loud, vent, share feelings and experiences, and basically use that time and space to armor up so that they can go back into their life and the world feeling more recharged.

I am trained in Trauma-informed care and use CBT as my foundation. I am also versed in many other modalities as well. My approach is to use whatever tool I have to support the clients reach their desired goal.

I enjoy working with adults from all backgrounds. As stated above, I can't not emphasize enough how much I believe in the wonders of talk therapy and how much joy it gives me to be able to work with others on their journey to becoming a healthier and happier version of themself.

My approach to therapy

As a therapist, I say to my clients that I am their personal secretary for their thoughts and feelings. I support clients with cataloging their thoughts and feelings so that they can make better sense of them. This allows clients to have improved insight, increased self-esteem and competence, a stronger sense of identity, helps clients to be more decisive, and achieve a higher level of self.

What you can expect from me

First sessions can be so intimidating and scary. I try to make it as painless as possible. My objective for the first session is to gather information for the intake and just get to know one another. I tell clients about my background in the field, educate clients on any policies or procedures there are, answer questions that they might have, basically have the client be as informed about everything as much as possible so they know what they will are walking into and what they will be experiencing going forward.
