Tript (THUR-RIP-IT) Bajwa, PMHNP-BC, PMH-C is a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Practitioner with Full Practice Authority in Illinois, bringing expertise and compassion to her work since 2019. With experience across inpatient and outpatient settings, she specializes in treating children, adolescents, and adults.

Tript holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago, a Bachelor’s in Nursing from IUPUI, and a Master’s in Nursing with a psychiatry focus from Indiana Wesleyan University. She has received extensive training alongside child/adolescent and general psychiatry specialists and has completed training in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International. Currently, she is expanding her expertise by pursuing a fellowship in Integrative and Functional Medicine through Psychiatry Redefined and a nutrition certification through Precision Nutrition.

She believes mental health care is more than just prescribing medication—it’s about understanding the whole person and seeing the bigger picture. Her approach involves taking a deep dive into each patient’s history to craft personalized, holistic treatment plans.

Tript provides compassionate care to children, adolescents, and adults. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband, their three children (twin mom!), and one fur baby. Together, they enjoy traveling, staying active, exploring the outdoors, and indulging in great food.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, personalized, and holistic. I believe that effective mental health treatment goes beyond just prescribing medication—it involves understanding the full picture of a person’s life, including their emotional, physical, and environmental factors.

I work closely with each client to develop a treatment plan that aligns with their goals, whether that includes medication management, lifestyle changes, or incorporating therapeutic strategies. I value open communication and want clients to feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their care.

I also integrate elements of evidence-based psychiatry with a broader, integrative perspective—recognizing the role of sleep, nutrition, stress, and daily habits in mental well-being. My goal is to support clients in achieving sustainable, long-term improvements, not just short-term symptom relief.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my goal is to get to know you as a whole person—not just your symptoms. We’ll spend time reviewing your history, current concerns, lifestyle factors, and what you’re hoping to gain from treatment.

I’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand your experiences, and we’ll work together to begin identifying potential next steps. If appropriate, we may discuss medication options, but there is never pressure—this is a collaborative process.

You can expect a supportive, non-judgmental environment where you feel comfortable sharing openly. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer understanding of your treatment options and a plan moving forward that feels aligned with your goals.
