Great to meet you!

I strive to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. I believe therapy is not only about managing symptoms but also about gaining insight, building resilience, and creating meaningful, lasting change. I earned my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hofstra University and have experience working with individuals, couples, and families in both outpatient and community mental health settings. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, trauma, stress, grief, care-giving burnout, LGBTQ+, substance abuse, self-esteem concerns, and family conflict. I'll help you explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck while developing practical tools to help you move toward the life and relationships you want and absolutely deserve. I understand that culture, family expectations, identity, and generational experiences can significantly shape mental health and relationships as well. Whether these topics are central to your therapy or simply part of your story, I strive to provide culturally responsive care that honors your unique experiences. I believe every client is unique, so treatment is tailored to your individual goals rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether you're navigating anxiety, relationship difficulties, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life's challenges, I look forward to working alongside you and helping you build greater clarity, confidence, and emotional well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, empowering and individualized. I believe every person has a unique story, so I tailor treatment to meet your specific needs and goals. Together, we'll explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, build practical coping strategies, and develop greater insight, confidence, and resilience. My therapeutic style integrates psychodynamic and person-centered approaches while drawing from evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) when appropriate to help my clients create meaningful and lasting change.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know one another and discussing what brought you to therapy. I'll ask insightful questions about your current concerns, personal history, and what you're hoping to achieve through therapy so I can better understand your unique experiences. This is also an opportunity for you to ask me questions, share any concerns, and determine whether you feel we're a good fit. A strong therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors in successful therapy. We will also begin identifying goals and create a plan tailored to your needs if you feel comfortable moving forward. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and with a clearer understanding of how we can work together on your journey to healing and happiness.
