Great to meet you!

Trishia Torres, LCSW. PsyD Candidate I'm a dedicated and compassionate clinical social worker with over 11 years of experience providing mental health counseling and psychosocial services to diverse populations. I'm passionate about delivering evidence-based care to help individuals, couples, families, and children navigate life's challenges and achieve their therapeutic goals.

I utilize a collaborative and holistic approach, drawing from my extensive background in medical social work, hospice care, and community outreach. I have deep expertise in conducting psychological assessments, including ADHD and Autism for adults, developing personalized treatment plans, and providing therapy for issues including PTSD, anxiety, depression, adjustment to chronic illness, and trauma.

Fluent in Spanish, I am committed to providing culturally competent care and improving access to mental health services. I am currently completing a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) program to further enhance my advanced clinical skills. I believe in empowering my clients by building on their strengths and connecting them with community resources to promote lasting wellness and resilience.

My approach to therapy

I take a warm, nonjudgmental, person-centered approach to therapy with the clear understanding that each person is an expert on their own life. I specialize in EMDR, IFS, Psychodynamic therapy, CBT, ACT, SE, SFBT, somatic, and neuroscience-informed care. I take a holistic and compassionate approach to therapy. I support individuals, couples, and families. Fluent in Spanish and a Star Behavioral Health Provider.

What you can expect from me

The first session is about connection and understanding. I create a safe, holistic environment where you share your story. We'll identify key challenges, explore strengths, and set initial goals. You can expect to leave with clarity, a sense of direction, and a collaborative roadmap for our work together.

Expect a welcoming, judgment-free space. We'll explore what's bringing you in and any "parts" of you that may be struggling. I'll explain how EMDR, IFS, or neuroscience-informed tools might help. No treatment begins until you feel ready and fully informed. You set the pace.
