Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Trista Sorenson. I am a licensed professional counselor providing individual therapy to adults. I have worked in the community mental health setting for a few years, and I started my private practice in 2017. I work with individuals from many different backgrounds. I work mostly with the following issues: depression, anxiety, low self-esteem/self-confidence, lack of purpose/meaning in life, relationship issues and trauma.

My approach to therapy

I take a holistic and eclectic approach to therapy. I provide a safe space for us to explore your inner world and the issues that bring you to therapy. My approach is simple: get personal. I am committed to helping people through a method specific to their needs. Counseling isn’t a “one size fits all” when you have a lot of different people with different issues and different responses to those issues.

What you can expect from me

I am compassionate and empathetic, yet direct and curious about who you are. I use humor when appropriate as it offers instant relaxation and warms relationships. We set up goals and a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs so you have the skills and understanding you seek to improve your wellbeing.
