Great to meet you!

I work with individuals, families, and systems who find themselves 'stuck'. I work from an inclusive and eclectic framework which allows me to work from the outside or join, as needed, to move past the 'stuck' points. I recently took steps towards physical gender affirming transition. Those who have known me these 13+ years in the field will find this a step in learning and growing with me; those who have heard my name as a recommendation will also find this a step in learning and growing.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My specialty is Second Order Change, i.e., interrupt the narrative/feedback loop which keeps us closed and inflexible. As a queer professional, my focus is on building networks of resources externally 'and' internally. Let's honor our vulnerabilities with pride. Foundations in my practice: 1) if we never fail in our endeavors, we are risking our own growth; 2 discomfort is where we find our strengths and, in discomfort, we live and thrive.

What you can expect from our first session

Second Order Change is everything. As a therapist I will challenge you to engage in new perspectives where 'good/bad', 'right/wrong' have little benefit to becoming a better version of ourselves. Instead, the narrative you bring to the sessions will be the object of exploration, not the experience itself, necessarily. Experiences can be modified based on when, how, why or with whom we are with at the time of recollection of said experience. Memories shift; identities are ever-evolving. Ready?
