I would love the opportunity to use my knowledge and skills as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to help you achieve mental wellness. I have developed my career over the past 25 years specializing in mental health and gaining valuable experience through my work in outpatient and inpatient settings.

I am committed to ensuring that everyone has access to affordable, quality mental healthcare and raising awareness across communities about the importance of taking care of your mental health and seeking help when needed.

My goal is that you leave your visit feeling better than when you came. I stress the importance of self-care, stress management, good sleep hygiene, healthy diets and physical activity in achieving overall good health. Key essential things I do during my visits as I build a rapport with my patients to provide mental healthcare: listen to my patients, allow patients opportunity to express thoughts and feelings and allow time to ask questions.

The first session is centered on getting to know your health by conducting a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation which is collecting your medical, social, present and past psychiatric history as well as other pertinent information about you and your health. Thereafter, I will continue to gain more information in the following sessions in an effort to find effective evidenced based strategies to address challenges and problems identified. I like to make sure patients have a good understanding of their condition and evidenced based treatment options.
