Great to meet you!

With over 40 years of experience providing therapy and care for others, I have learned a few things:

  • Everyone has something wonderful to offer
  • There are always solutions to any situation
  • All of us can change, grow, and be who we are meant to be

Family life can be rewarding but also very challenging. Being a former foster parent and adopting children, there are many lessons I have learned that not only helped me personally but also expanded my understanding of others and their struggles.

While living and serving on Native American reservations as a young man, I develop a desire to help and work with others to achieve a since of happiness and personal awareness. I am a graduate of Louisiana State University and Brigham Young University. I have worked with couples, families, children, adolescents, and adult.

In addition to being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I specialize in marriage counseling, helping individuals become mentally strong, as well as addressing trauma and abuse. I am trained in trauma informed care, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral treatment, and am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional II.

My clients are treated respectfully and with compassion. My goal is not to correct or confront, but to guide individuals, their partners, and/or family members to achieve a healthier and happier version of themselves coupled with positive and productive relationships.

My approach to therapy

Therapy is an opportunity to openly process thoughts and feelings and how they shape behavior and life's direction. I approach every person with support and appreciation for their desire to improve themselves and their circumstances. Everyone is unique and has value. I provide treatment to not only focus on change but on a client's strengths and personal successes.

What you can expect from me

As we meet for the first time, we will focus on goals, expectations, and ways to move forward. Of course, I will want to get to know you, your needs, and circumstances. In addition, on day one we will prioritize direction and potential solutions. and generate hope for a better future.
