Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Dr. Troy Pharis, and I have been a licensed professional counselor for over 10 years. I understand that for many, starting work with a therapist can seem daunting. My hope is to make the process easy and productive. My clinical focus over the last few years has been on active-duty military/veterans, first responders, and their families. Being part of that community myself has helped me assist those who serve or may still have difficulties from their time in uniform.

My approach to therapy

I am very laid back and informal. I try to keep things fun and interesting while also actively moving toward your personal goals. I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as my primary treatment model. I have found this helps with many different concerns. I also use EMDR in sessions to help process past traumatic events.

What you can expect from me

ACT is a very action-oriented style of therapy. We will identify a viable goal and help you move toward a life that honors what you value. Each session, we will work on skills to address life's challenges in a relatable way.
