Great to meet you!

Taking the first step toward therapy isn't always easy, and I hope this can be a space where you feel heard, understood, and accepted.

I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, perfectionism, relationship challenges, life transitions, intergenerational trauma, and identity-related concerns. I provide therapy in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

Together, we'll work toward a deeper understanding of yourself while developing coping strategies to navigate life's challenges.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is most effective when it provides a safe, collaborative relationship where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences with curiosity and compassion. We'll work to understand the patterns, relationships, and experiences that have shaped who you are and continue to influence your life today.

My multicultural perspective informs my work and deepens my appreciation for each person's unique cultural background, identity, and lived experiences. My approach is grounded in psychodynamic therapy while incorporating mindfulness and cognitive behavioral techniques to support both deeper self-exploration and practical change.

Throughout therapy, we'll recognize longstanding patterns, cultivate greater self-awareness, and work toward meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we'll talk about what's bringing you to therapy and begin exploring the experiences that have shaped you. We'll also discuss what's been weighing on you, what you hope to get out of therapy, and any questions you have about the therapy process. Together, we'll begin identifying your goals and how therapy can support you moving forward.

I understand that starting therapy can feel uncertain or even a little scary. There's no expectation for you to have all the right words, to share everything at once, or to have everything figured out. We'll take it one step at a time. My hope is that you'll leave feeling heard, understood, and with a sense of hope for the path ahead.
