Great to meet you!

I am retired from the United States Air Force. While serving in uniform, the work I did was Human Resource Management; however, I found myself helping others with their personnel struggles and challenges in and out of the uniform. This experience helped me to transition into counseling with ease. As a counselor, I work with ages starting at 13 y/o to Geriatric. I service all demographics, such as, individuals, couples, military and their dependents, all races, ethnicities, males, & females.

My approach to therapy

My preferred approach to therapy is Eye Movement Desensitizing and Reprocessing & Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); however, I will utilize other modalities depending on the individual and their dis-ease, such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Solution-Focused, Faith-based counseling methods, and (Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), etc...

What you can expect from me

As a client, You will learn and understand what it means to be present in each moment, realizing that tomorrow is not promised. As a client, You will know that you are heard and have a safe space to tell Your story. You will understand the importance of being "intentional" in Your thinking and Your doing. You will gain a greater understanding of the major impact of being "Intentional, Paying Attention, & Attuning," and how it affects Your overall well-being and how the simple tool of relaxation can be a "break-through" in coping.
