Great to meet you!

My name is Twana Wood, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. Helping others has been my greatest calling. I take a creative, holistic approach to treatment that motivates clients to be active participants in their own healing. Alongside this holistic foundation, I incorporate empowerment and solutionfocused tools to help individuals build resilience, reclaim balance, and move toward a more fulfilling life. I believe healing is possible for everyone, and I would be honored to be part of your journey.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy varies depending on each individuals need. However, I often use Cognitive strategies to help individuals thinking about their circumstances and process coping skills uniques for them. I draw from Mindfulness techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focussed and Strength Based approaches to help build confidence and greater self-esteem.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building a therapeutic relationship that feels safe and supportive. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, what you have been experiencing, and what you are hoping will be different. I will listen carefully and begin to understand your story, your strengths, and your goals. You can expect a warm, creative, and nonjudgmental space from the very start. Most clients leave that first session feeling heard and more hopeful about the work ahead.
