Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Twanda, and I’m a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Carolina, my Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama, and later returned to the University of South Carolina to complete my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. I also completed a post-master certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing, which deepened my commitment to helping people feel supported, understood, and empowered in their mental health journey.

My approach to therapy

I believe every person is unique, and that treatment should reflect who you are, what you’ve been through, and what you need most right now. I use evidence-based practices, thoughtful diagnostic assessment, medication management when appropriate, and psychotherapy to create a plan that feels personal and effective. My style is warm, open-minded, and empowering, and I see our work as a partnership where we move forward together.

What you can expect from me

In our first sessions, we’ll take time to understand what’s been weighing on you and identify the underlying triggers that may be contributing to your symptoms. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and supported from the very beginning while also giving you practical tools you can start using in daily life. Together, we’ll build strategies to help you manage challenges, feel more confident, and make meaningful progress. If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
