Great to meet you!

Therapy is a brave step, and I’m honored to walk it with you. In more than 25 years in mental health and substance abuse services, I’ve had the privilege of supporting children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families as they heal, grow, and find their way back to hope.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can show up as you are. My approach is collaborative and tailored to you. I draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy to help you work through anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, substance use, and the relationship struggles that can leave you feeling stuck or alone.

My work is grounded in the belief that healing is possible and that you already hold more strength than you realize. My role is to help you see it. When you’re ready, I’d be honored to be a light on your path.

My approach to therapy

My approach starts with a simple belief, you are not broken, and healing is possible. I see my role as an agent of Light, someone who walks beside you, helps you see your own strength, and holds hope for you on the days it’s hard to hold it yourself. I meet every client where they are. In our first sessions, I take time to get to know you, your story, your goals, and what you want life to look like. From there, we build a plan together that fits you. I draw on evidence-based tools like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy, and I adapt them to your needs, whether you’re working through anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, or challenges in your relationships and family.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about getting comfortable and getting to know each other. There’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready to, and nothing you say will shock or judge me.

We’ll start with a little about how therapy works, including confidentiality and what you can expect from me. Then I’ll invite you to tell me what brought you in, what you’re hoping to change, and what’s been weighing on you. I’ll ask about your background, relationships, health, and any past experience with counseling so I can understand the whole picture. If substance use or other concerns are part of your story, we can talk about that too, in a safe and respectful way. By the end of the session, we’ll have the beginning of a plan. We’ll talk about your goals and how we might work toward them together. You’ll have a chance to ask me anything, and to decide whether I feel like the right fit for you.
