Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Tyesha Taylor, a Licensed Professional Counselor passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges in a supportive, judgment-free environment. My professional background includes working with children, adolescents, adults, and families, with experience providing academic, emotional, behavioral, and mental health support.

My approach is person-centered, strengths-based, and collaborative. I work with clients experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, emotional regulation, self-esteem, and other mental health concerns. I believe therapy should be a safe space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes.

Whether you are working through a specific challenge or simply want support as you navigate a new chapter in life, I am here to meet you where you are and work alongside you toward your goals. My goal is to help you develop practical coping skills, strengthen self-awareness, and build confidence in your ability to manage life’s challenges.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and person-centered. I believe every client is unique, so I tailor my approach to their individual needs, goals, experiences, and strengths. I focus on creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves while developing practical skills they can use in everyday life.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, self-esteem, emotional regulation, relationship concerns, grief, and other challenges. When working with children and families, I use developmentally appropriate, engaging activities to help clients express themselves and build coping skills. My goal is to help clients feel heard, develop greater self-awareness, and make meaningful progress at a pace that feels comfortable for them.

What you can expect from me

I strive to create a warm, safe, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and comfortable being themselves. Together, we set realistic goals based on the client’s needs and strengths, focusing on improving coping skills, emotional regulation, communication, self-esteem, and overall well-being. I help clients develop practical strategies they can use outside of therapy and encourage them to recognize their progress along the way. My goal is for clients to leave therapy feeling more confident, empowered, and better equipped to manage life’s challenges.
