Great to meet you!

👋 Hello, I’m Dr. Tyiree Chamberlain, DSW, LCSW, but you can call me Ty or Mr.C/Mr.Chamberlain. I am a licensed clinical social worker with a doctorate in social work and extensive experience supporting individuals through life transitions, emotional challenges, and personal growth.

Over the years, I’ve worked in schools, hospitals, and private practice, helping clients build resilience, heal from grief, and strengthen their mental and emotional well-being. My approach combines evidence-based therapeutic practices with a deep respect for each person’s story and cultural background. I appreciate your interest in my services. At this time, I am not accepting new clients. To stay informed about my availability, please reach out.

Areas of Focus

  • Anxiety, depression, and stress management
  • Trauma and grief counseling
  • Substance use recovery and relapse prevention
  • Family and relationship dynamics
  • Life transitions, identity development, and self-esteem

My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel heard, seen, supported, and empowered to work toward lasting change. Therapy with me is a collaborative experience. I see you as the expert of your own life, and my role is to help you uncover tools and insights that support your journey. If you’re looking for a therapist who will actively listen with compassion, challenge you when needed, and walk alongside you as you pursue growth and healing, I’d be honored to work with you.

Private/Self Pay Inquiries: My standard fee is $115 per session (60 minutes). To make therapy more accessible, I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots ranging from $85–$100 per session, based on income and financial need. Please let me know if you’d like to discuss this option.

My approach to therapy

✨ My Approach to Therapy

I believe therapy should be a collaborative and empowering process. My style is warm, supportive, and goal-oriented; blending empathy and active listening with practical tools clients can use in everyday life. I meet each person where they are, honoring their strengths and experiences while helping them navigate challenges with clarity and resilience.

I draw from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches, while also integrating creative strategies when helpful. Because no two people are alike, I tailor sessions to each client’s needs, whether that means focusing on processing grief and trauma, developing healthier coping skills, or exploring personal identity and relationships.

Above all, I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space where clients feel comfortable being themselves and working toward meaningful and impactful change.

What you can expect from me

🌱 What to Expect in Your First Session

In our first session together, my priority is to create a welcoming, supportive space where you feel comfortable sharing your story at your own pace. We’ll start by discussing what brought you to therapy, what you hope to gain from the process, and any questions or concerns you might have.

I’ll spend time learning about your background, strengths, and challenges so we can begin identifying goals that feel meaningful to you. Together, we’ll explore what’s working in your life, what feels stuck, and how therapy can best support your growth.

You can expect me to listen without judgment, ask thoughtful questions, and provide guidance while respecting your unique experiences. By the end of the first session, I aim for you to leave with a sense of clarity, hope, and a plan for moving forward, whether that involves focusing on coping strategies, processing difficult emotions, or building healthier habits and relationships.

I want to reiterate that my aim is always to create an environment that feels safe, collaborative, and empowering, so you know you have someone walking alongside you in your journey toward holistic healing and growth.
