I am a dual-certified in family and psychiatric mental health care as a Nurse Practitioner. I have practiced for over six years in a variety of settings, including internal medicine, family medicine, and mental health. I enjoy working with diverse people from different cultures. I specialize in working with people of color by providing a safe space to focus on complete mental health.
I like a positive and holistic approach to mental health care. I think it is important to find balance in your life and it starts with improving self-esteem and good self-care. I like a person-centered approach meaning you are in charge; we go at your speed and things should always be comfortable for you during treatment.
I offer psychiatric diagnostic evaluations, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy.
During our first visit, we will focus on rapport building and I want to hear your story! I don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable or like they are giving up their past to someone they don't know. I believe in a trust-based relationship and going at your pace as you are comfortable. Mostly, clients tell me they feel like they have chatted with a friend but realize there has been growth in the conversation. To me, that is the way it should be.
