Hi,

I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I've earned both my Master of Science in Nursing, as well as my post-master’s certificate as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from Charles R. Drew University of Medicine & Science. I consider myself to be well-versed in the treatment of anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and chronic mental illness through psychiatric evaluation, medication management and psychotherapeutic intervention for adult clients.

As a nurse practitioner, I believe that every individual is unique. Thus, I work with clients, assessing bio-psycho-social factors with a strong emphasis on stress and/or trauma that contributes to mental processes. I am passionate about understanding multiple human strengths, positive emotions, distress tolerance and the cognitive strategies used to overcome stress factors.

Our initial appointment together will consist of a comprehensive psycho-medical evaluation, including but not limited to discussing medications, desired effects and adverse effects, risks and benefits. This will help to determine an individualized treatment plan that caters to your needs, as well as treatment expectations. Thereafter, our follow up appointments will be geared towards monitoring progress and making changes as necessary for your optimal mental health and healing.
