Great to meet you!

My cultural context growing up in northern Indiana was shaped by traditional values about human dignity, unconditional love, and empowering exploited people. As my circle of influence expanded to include people from a variety of religious/spiritual traditions and cultural backgrounds these values would be built upon with value for hospitality, inclusion, and cultural humility.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, trusting your expertise about you and your life and bringing my training and experience as a therapist to cultivate a space of curiosity, self-compassion, and courage. I draw from modalities such as IFS, EMDR, CBT, DBT, Gottman Method, and attachment-based therapy to care for clients who are addressing concerns related to relationship problems, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, gender identity, depression, compulsive sexual behavior and grief.

What you can expect from me

When I first meet with a client our first session will consist of me exploring their goals, what led them to seek treatment, barriers to their goals, strengths to help them achieve their goals, among other topics that will help me understand the client.
