Great to meet you!

I am Tyler Loder, LSCSW, BCD. I have been in clinical practice for 15 years with both the Department of Veterans Affairs and Department of Defense. I've worked with Veterans, First Responders, and Special Operations service members. I am a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker and Board Certified Diplomate, I also teach in Academia and I have a keen interest in men's mental health issues.

Note: My private practice has no relationship with the federal government.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My primary philosophy has always been that the patient is the expert of their lives. I serve as a guide, a mirror and someone who can objectively look at difficulties in partnership with you to understand how best to work through them. I am multi-theoretical and integrative in my approach, including ACT as a primary treatment philosophy which incorporates a Values based approach to all behavior change, even in the midst of our most difficult days. I also utilize CBT, PE, REBT to help guide and direct the therapeutic process.

What you can expect from our first session

Symptom reduction, better quality of life, improved relationships (with self and others), behavior change. Please Note: I do not provide family or couples counseling at this time. I only provide 1:1 psychotherapy.
