Great to meet you!

Hi,

I am glad you found your way here, no matter how long it took. Even if you don't make an appointment with a therapist today, be proud of you. You are taking steps to select a therapist who fits you and that is empowering.

I have been in practice in various settings for nearly 20 years. I have worked in public and private mental health clinics and hospitals in the Midwest, owned a private practice, and instructed courses in social work at the college level. I received a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Kansas in 2007 and grew up in a small southern Iowa farming community.

I currently see clients aged 18+.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative and engaging. While therapy takes effort and can be uncomfortable, we all strive to function better, feel better, and get along more easily in our daily lives.

What you can expect from our first session

You can expect to feel understood and validated as well as ideas for developing new coping skills or reviving older ones.
