Great to meet you!

Hello and welcome! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida with a Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando. Prior to entering the mental health field, I spent 10 years in banking. During a time of personal struggle, I started my own journey with counseling. The process had such an impact that I left banking in order to continue working with others in a deeper and more relational capacity. I enjoy working with couples and adults of all ages, working with issues such as depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, infidelity, and divorce.

My approach to therapy

In my approach, I aim to be genuinely warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own story. I’ve found that feeling 'stuck,' anxious, or depressed often stems from a harsh inner critic or a deep sense of not being 'good enough.' Sometimes—maybe even most of the time—that sense runs so deep that we don't notice it for what it is; rather, it surfaces as something else, like anxiety or other unwanted feelings.

I believe therapy is at its best when the space is safe and non-judgmental. This gives you the breathing room to get under that 'anxious layer' and begin to more truly see yourself. My goal is to work with you to explore the roots of your feelings, build self-compassion, and develop a stronger, truer, and therefore, more confident sense of who you are.

My core conviction that all people are good and worthy empowers me to boldly explore your story with you, knowing that nothing we find can take away from the hope of who you are. In my experience, it is precisely the things we find that uncover your dignity and where you are in life. When you begin to see the dignity in your own story, it really sets off a powerful cascade of healing and change.

What you can expect from me

Think of our first session as a deeper, more spacious version of our initial consultation. My primary goal is to listen and understand—not just the symptoms you are dealing with right now, but the history of how you got here. It often takes more than one session to fully paint that picture, and that is okay. We won't rush. By the end, our aim is to build a shared plan for how we move forward together toward the change you want.
