Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Tyra Butler, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a private practice in California.

I work with adults, children, couples, and families, and I truly consider it a privilege to walk alongside people through some of life’s most challenging seasons.

My goal is to help you work through what life brings your way, reconnect with your strength, and find greater peace and hope along the way.

My approach to therapy

I believe growth and healing begin within a safe, authentic relationship, one where you feel genuinely seen, heard, understood, and accepted.

My approach is grounded in compassion, relational neuroscience, attachment, and evidence-based practices, including EMDR, IFS, and Child-Centered Play Therapy.

At the heart of my work is the belief that you already have within you the capacity for healing, growth, and resilience.

My role is to create a safe and supportive space where your strengths can emerge and you can move toward greater connection, growth, and peace.

What you can expect from me

You can expect our time together to be a space where you can begin to feel a little better. Our first conversations are an opportunity for me to get to know you, hear what you’ve been going through, and understand what you’re hoping for from therapy.

I’ll listen, engage with you, and take the time to help you feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. I’ll also listen for areas where some of my specialties and therapeutic approaches may be especially helpful in bringing you relief and supporting the changes you’re hoping for.
