Great to meet you!

Great to meet you!

Welcome, and thank you for considering CopeWell Psychiatry & Wellness. I'm Udo Chukwuocha, a doctoral-prepared, dual-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner. I'm glad you're here.

I believe mental health care should feel personal, collaborative, and never rushed. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and supported while we work together to understand your concerns and develop a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs.

As a dual-certified Family and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I understand the close connection between physical and mental health. I take an integrative, whole-person approach to care, combining medical and psychiatric expertise to support your journey toward lasting wellness.

I provide care for individuals ages 17–64 experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma, sleep concerns, burnout, and life transitions, and I look forward to partnering with you on your journey to better mental health.

My approach to therapy

I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to mental health. Every person has a unique story, which is why I take time to understand the factors contributing to your symptoms before making treatment recommendations.

Together, we'll develop a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, brief supportive psychotherapy, lifestyle and nutrition strategies, and other integrative approaches when appropriate. I also believe that education is an important part of treatment, so I'll take time to explain diagnoses, medications, and available options, empowering you to make informed decisions about your care. When clinically appropriate, we may also discuss advanced genetic testing to further personalize your treatment.

My goal is to help you find an approach that is effective, sustainable, and aligned with your goals, not simply to prescribe medication.

What you can expect from me

Working with me, you can expect a warm, supportive environment where you feel heard, respected, and actively involved in your care. Your first session will include reviewing your intake information, discussing your concerns and goals, answering your questions, and exploring treatment options. Together, we'll develop a personalized treatment plan that best fits your unique needs. If you're seeking an ADHD evaluation, I provide comprehensive ADHD assessments using objective testing as part of the diagnostic process. Weekend and evening appointments are available upon request.
