Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over nine years of experience working with adult women and couples. I hold a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy.

I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, trauma, relationship and marital challenges, family conflict, perfectionism, and self-esteem concerns. Many of the people I work with find themselves feeling stuck in recurring patterns—whether in their relationships, emotional responses, or the expectations they place on themselves.

I also offer Islamically integrated therapy for Muslim clients and have received training in Traditional Islamically Integrated Psychotherapy (TIIP). I welcome clients from all backgrounds and strive to provide care that is thoughtful, collaborative, and tailored to each person's unique needs and values.

My approach to therapy

My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). While practical tools and coping strategies can be valuable, I believe meaningful change often begins with understanding ourselves more deeply.

I help clients explore the emotions, needs, fears, and vulnerabilities that influence their thoughts, behaviors, and relationships. Together, we work to identify patterns that may no longer be serving them, develop greater self-awareness, and create healthier ways of responding to life's challenges.

My style is warm, supportive, and encouraging, while also being honest and direct when needed. I tailor therapy to each client, recognizing that different personalities and situations require different approaches.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. I will ask questions about your current concerns, personal history, relationships, and goals, while also making space for anything you feel is important to share.

My goal is not to rush into solutions, but to develop a clear understanding of who you are and what may be contributing to your current challenges. By the end of the session, clients often leave with greater clarity about their concerns, an initial sense of direction for treatment, and a better understanding of whether I am the right fit for their needs.
