Unika completed her Master’s Degree in Social Work at Clark Atlanta University. She has over 15 years of clinical experience across a variety of settings including outpatient specialty clinics, crisis intervention, county jails, structured outpatient programs, inpatient psychiatric facilities, and private practice. Unika has presented on relationship and sexual topics both at the state and national level through group discussions and conferences. She is currently working towards her Certification in Sex Therapy (CST) and will be attending Modern Sex Therapy Institute later this year. Unika's approach emphasizes the mutual, client centered development of goals for therapy and provision of ongoing evaluation of the therapeutic approach. Services can include individual, couples and group therapy. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Crisis Intervention. Unika's special interest include cultivating sexual dissatisfaction, assisting with positive sex communication, embracing/identifying sexual self, safe sex and positive body image. Clients are encouraged to identify and remove barriers caused by anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and past trauma.
