Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a therapeutic approach and consulting practice grounded in the belief that healing begins when we learn to see ourselves through a clearer, more empowered lens. As a Nigerian-American woman, my heritage deeply informs my understanding of identity, resilience, spirituality, and community. These values shape the way I hold space for clients and guide them toward alignment with their highest embodiment of self.

My professional background includes years of experience in community mental health, trauma-informed care, and culturally responsive practice. I have supported women, youth, and BIPOC communities through therapy, support groups, and mental health trainings. I am also influenced by Womanist Psychology, which honors the lived experiences, wisdom, and strength of Black women and communities.

My work integrates Western therapeutic approaches with cultural insight, African wisdom, and a holistic understanding of healing. I believe that our lenses or our “vue" are shaped by our stories, our lineage, and the environments that raised us. Through SelfVue, I help clients shift their perspective, reconnect with their inner strength, and cultivate a grounded sense of self-worth.

Whether through individual therapy, consultation, or organizational support, my goal is to create a warm, intuitive, and culturally attuned space where clients feel seen, affirmed, and supported in their journey toward self-actualization.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is holistic, culturally responsive, and insight-driven. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, strengths-based methods, and aspects of Narrative theory to help clients develop self-awareness and shift the lens (“Vue”) through which they understand themselves and their experiences.

I believe each client comes with their own wisdom, identity, and lived truth. My role is to guide, support, and help illuminate patterns, barriers, and strengths so clients can move toward healing with clarity and confidence. I integrate culture, spirituality, identity, and personal story because they are powerful influences in how we see ourselves and how we grow.

Together, we focus on resilience, emotional regulation, redefining narratives, and building a healthier relationship with the self.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a warm, welcoming conversation where the focus is on you, your story, your goals, and what brings you to therapy. We’ll explore what you’re hoping to heal or strengthen, what has felt challenging, and what support looks like for you.

I take my time getting to know your background, values, cultural identity, and the environments that shape your experience. We will also discuss what therapy will look like together and set initial goals at a pace that feels comfortable.

The first session isn’t about pressure or perfection, but rather about connection, clarity, and creating a safe foundation for the work ahead. You can expect to leave feeling heard, grounded, and with a sense of direction for your healing journey.
