Great to meet you!

Life can feel overwhelming when relationships are strained, past experiences keep showing up in the present, or you find yourself stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. Earning your trust and helping you establish a safe, empowering baseline for your care is a profound privilege I hold deeply. Over the past 21 years of my practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I have dedicated my career to working with adults, seniors, and families from diverse backgrounds. After earning my Master of Arts from Chapman College and my PhD from Northcentral University, my focus has remained on supporting individuals through anxiety, depression, family dynamics, and intense emotional stress. Whether we are conducting our sessions in English or Spanish, my approach is holistic and relational, recognizing that our emotional well-being is deeply connected to the people, environments, and experiences that shape our lives.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should be both compassionate and productive, and that genuine emotional growth flourishes when we balance evidence-based practices with a deeply authentic human connection. As a relationship specialist, I work from a systemic perspective, looking beyond individual symptoms to understand the larger patterns influencing your emotional health, relationships, and overall well-being. My style is collaborative, interactive, and goal-oriented. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Internal Family Systems, we will identify your strengths and develop practical tools tailored to your unique situation. Depending on your needs, we may focus on improving communication, healing from past experiences, strengthening self-esteem, or navigating life transitions. I strive to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and supported while also being challenged to grow, outlining tangible goals that translate into meaningful change in your daily life.

What you can expect from me

Reaching out for support takes courage, and my hope is that our initial time together acts as a quiet refuge where you can step away from the heavy demands of your daily stress. Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other in a calm, non-judgmental environment. You will have the space to share your concerns, gently exploring your history and symptoms at a natural, comfortable pace without any pressure to have all the answers. Together, we will define your client-centered goals, identify what you would like to work on, and discuss a collaborative path forward that feels realistic and supportive. Many clients leave their first session feeling relieved to have a clearer understanding of their challenges and hopeful about the next steps.
